The model was built from "scratch" using catalogs from 1931-1934, available plans obtained from the chris~craft museum in newport news, virginia, and photos supplied by christopher smith (grandson of christopher smith, original founder of chris~craft) from his private collection.. Chris-craft built 170 of these boats between 1956 and 1958. they measured 22'7" with a beam of 7'11" and a 23" draft. this model is at a scale of 1/8th (1'scale to 8'actual) and has the correct windshield for the 1956 continental. in 1957 and 1958 chris-craft used a plastic wrap around windshield..
