There is a class boat called "naples sabot". vee-bottomed with lee boards. there is also a class boat called "us sabot". more of a racer. low sheer, vee-bottomed and a dagger. then there is the d4, which is in a class by itself, being built from free plans and is, pretty much, comparable to either of the former except the d4 carries a smaller. Sabot is a 4 'x 8' dinghy. as best as i can determine it was designed by cg macgregor and published in rudder magazine in 1939. there was some kind of a follow up or change (?) in rudder in 1942..
